A Real Experience with Galavito Heating Table at Dominican Hotel in Prague<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

We talked with Dominican Hotel Director Radek Nedved, about his and his team\u2019s experience with gas heaters and why they finally opted for our electrical heaters: Galavito Heating Table. \u00a0The director also gave an interview what their gas heating costs were and how their guests reacted to their new front yard.<\/p>\n

The four star Dominican Hotel is located in the heart of historical Prague near Old Town Square. The Dominican Hotel building is an original part of the historic palace of the Dominican Monastery, offering its guests the original atmosphere of old Prague.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

How much were your monthly costs for outdoor gas heaters \u2014 before purchasing Galavito Heating Tables?<\/h3>\n

The cost was different every month and of course it was dependent on the weather. We also used gas heaters for the effect of visibility. It wasn’t even possible to use it for the warm-up effect. \ud83d\ude42 The price for one butane bottle was 320 CZK (about 12 EUR) and lasted only 2-3 days. We had 4 gas heaters so the cost of gas heaters was about 15 000 CZK (about 550 EUR) per month at full capacity.<\/p>\n

What was your experience with gas infrared heaters?<\/h3>\n

Unfortunately, our experience with gas heaters was negative. Although gas heaters look elegant and fire in a glass cylinder is spectacular to look at, but they do not heat. And most importantly, there is still gas handling and thus explosion hazards, gas leaks, constant staff training and other maintenance concerns.<\/p>\n

Why did you decide to buy Galavito Heating Tables?<\/h3>\n

It is simple. Firstly, reducing costs and secondly, providing greater comfort for customers (and staff). And thirdly, the overall modernisation of the outdoor seating area.<\/p>\n

What are your current costs for electric outdoor heating?<\/h3>\n

Certainly they are lower than gas heating. This is also due to the fact that we turn on the individual heated legs as needed and do not have to go to full power all at once. We only turn on the heated table when the guests are sitting at it. I did not investigate the exact savings. We do not have a special secondary gauge in the garden, but I estimate up to 40% energy savings.<\/b><\/p>\n

What are your customers’ reactions to heating tables?<\/h3>\n

Their reaction is 99 % positive. He praises design, performance and idea. Occasionally it is uncomfortable for someone, so we turn turm them off, but it only proves that the guest gets hot. The Galavito Heating Table warms up from their feet.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Has the composition of your guests changed with the use of heated tables?<\/h3>\n

There is not much change in the composition of guests in restaurant. We have always had a mix of all customers. Families with children and strollers may be more likely to appear.<\/p>\n

Have infrared heating tables increased your sales at your front yard?<\/h3>\n

Yes, especially during the winter months clearly. In year-on-year comparison, our sales increased by 18 %. It is true that we did also other improvements for our customer, but heating tables have a big share in this revenue increase.<\/p>\n

How satisfied are you with the BISTRO DUO heating bar table?<\/h3>\n

It is beautiful and we use it more to present the menu. So that the clients who hesitate between the garden and the interior, feel the warmth as they browse through the menu and sit outside.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
